Office says unlicensed or keeps asking to sign in
Microsoft 365 apps need you to be signed in with your work account. Most licence messages clear once the right account is signed in.

Sign in with your work account
In Word or Excel, click your name or Sign in at the top of the window. Sign in with your work email address, not a personal Microsoft account.

Close Office and check the internet
Close every Office app, including Outlook. Check that websites load, then open Word again.
When to contact us
- Your licence may have expired or been removed from your account. Raise a ticket and we’ll check your Microsoft 365 account and reassign it.
